MCAP Partners Develop Wildfire Risk Tool for Mediterranean Regions

Developed through MCAP’s Mini Sprint program, a wildfire information system pilot is bringing together partners in the Western Cape and Catalonia to combine wildfire, biodiversity, and socioeconomic data. It aims to help decision-makers identify risks, manage fuel loads, and plan for wildfire response and recovery, with potential to expand to other Mediterranean climate regions.
